Taxis at New Orleans International Airport

Official taxi cabs can be found at the taxi rank that is located on the Arrivals Curb outside Door 1 on Level 1 Baggage Claim. The system is first come, first served through queueing at the taxi booth.

The taxi ride will take approximately 25 minutes, depending on the exact location of the destination, and it will cost $36 for up to two passengers, for three or more passengers the fare will be $15 per passenger, to the Central Business District (known as CBD) or the French Quarter area (west of Elysian Fields).

Taxis are required to accept credit cards as a method of payment.

Ride Shares at New Orleans International Airport

Another transfer option is the Ride Share companies that are available at the airport. These rides are requested by the traveler directly through the company’s app, each company has their own application. After the ride has been requested and a code has been acquired exit through Doors 7-11, on Baggage Claim Level, and cross the walkway to the middle curb and join the queue for the company of your choice. When it is your turn simply show the code to the driver and be on your way.
